From Duluth, follow    along the shore of Lake Superior approximately 110 miles to Grand Marais.

In Grand Marais, follow the Gunflint Trail signs through town. The Gunflint Trail is also called County Road 12.

Stay on the Gunflint Trail for 12 miles. Look for our sign on the right side of the road.  Turn right onto the Trout Lake Road (FSR  140).

Drive 4 miles on the Trout Lake Road.

Turn left at the Trout Lake Resort sign.

Drive about 1/4 mile and you will see beautiful Trout Lake.  The lodge is on the left.

Please drive carefully – Trout Lake Road is well maintained, but narrow.  Cell phone service ends a few miles up the Gunflint Trail.
